In these paintings I cut canvas to reveal the beautiful copper sheet stuck underneath the canvas.

Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, social activist and writer who lead the nationalist movement against the British rule who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule. His autobiography is called 'My Experiments with Truth'

At the core of our being exists a profound energy—the energy of love. Each one of us seeks to uncover and unite with this love.
This pure love is symbolized by the use of copper, a pure and radiant metal that seems to glow from within, reflecting the depths of our soul.

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God", quote John 1:1.
Hindus call this word 'AUM' The sound vibrates through space and time that has no beginning nor end since once a vibration is created, it can never be destroyed.
A copper stencil of 'Aum', in its most universally recognized form, divides the canvas into 3 divisions to represent time - past, present and future. 'Aum' is written in 13 different langauges around the central symbol to explain that this vibration travels through space and time to every part of the world and ultimately the entire universe.

The artist has explored female relationships in this painting. It is about women who experience each other as a kindred spirit and understand each other completely. They share an almost sacred space between them that time and distance can’t destroy.
They share their deepest secrets and their most vulnerable moments without feeling judged or threatened.
This deep bond radiates out in bright colors and fills the canvas with warm and positive energies.
The viewer is subtly drawn into this beautiful energy and enveloped in their warm love and joy.
